Going-to-the-Sun

Day 4 - Wednesday

Even though we are in the tiniest of motor homes, it was still too wide and long to drive on the road.  The nice ladies at the KOA office suggested that we rent a car from a local company that would deliver it and pick it up from the KOA.  So today, our Chevy Impala was delivered and we toured the Going-to-the-Sun road that bisects Glacier National Park.  Our first stop was Logan Pass Visitor Center, but the car park was full and tensions were getting high.  We headed to the Sun Point Nature Trail, where we hiked to Baring Falls and Saint Mary Lake.

We got lucky with a parking spot at Logan Pass and headed toward the Hidden Lake Nature Trail.  All the girls were tired, so we didn't go the whole way.  It was amazing, none the less.

We were so tired and all we wanted was pizza, but we made the girls get out and take this last photo of the day.  Everyone was so angry when we realized it was 4th of July and almost all restaurants anywhere near Glacier were closed for the holiday.
Happy Independence Day!!
