Tetons - Jackson Lake

Day 11 – Wednesday

Drove to Tetons and while stopping to get my family photo of us at the entry sign, my camera tipped off the RV and the lens broke.  Boo!

On the plus side, we were able to get a spot at Colter Bay for two nights in the full hook-up section.  Yay!  The girls are getting tired of hiking, so we went small and explored Jackson Lake.  This area is stunning.

We decided that we should get on our suits and swim in the lake.

Jason has decided to take up fishing (but it's not as easy as it was at Greenough Lake).  In the evening we attended a Ranger led talk about cougars.  The girls are full of facts now.  Did you know that cougars are obligate carnivores?  They would starve before scavenging for nuts, berries, etc.  Also, one of their primary sources of meat is porcupines.  Cougars are one of the few predators that can knock the porcupine out of trees.
