Yellowstone - Storm Point

Day 8 – Sunday

Schroedsters are tired!  We slept in and Jason used the on-board stove for the first time to make breakfast.  No one wanted to go outside and brave the skeeters.

Once motivated, Jason holstered the gifted bear spray and we headed out for a three mile hike near camp.  On the Storm Point hike we saw some sort of skull, spine, and leg bone picked clean.  We saw this right after we scolded the girls for getting too far ahead.  They were stuck to us like glue from this point forward.
A little badger popped up from a rock and said hello while we were resting on Storm Point.

Once back to the RV, we sent Jason out on his bicycle where he rode toward the East Yellowstone Entrance (Cody, MT).  He rode for 45 miles through Sylvan Pass and saw elk and mule deer.

While he was gone, the lady Schroeder’s went to a Ranger program about the history of bison and the girls earned their patches.  Then the little ladies went swimming in Yellowstone Lake, which is so large it makes its own weather.  It’s also super cold.

I have 15 mosquito bites including three on my face.
